The wrong turn tasted better.

She never arrived. She belonged to the part of the wind that never learned how to settle. I first noticed her because the wind changed direction. A warmth curled slowly up my spine.

One moment the market belonged to everyone.

The next, it belonged to her. Not because she asked for attention. Because her movement had a gravity of its own.

She walked as though every city had already whispered its secrets into her ear.

Lilac gathered at her wrists.

Incense settled into the folds of her clothes.

Smoke followed, not behind her, but beside her as though it, too, wanted to know where she was going.

She collected impossible little things. A brass ring from a market with no address. A tarot card left face down on a café table. The scent of cedar lingering on a stranger’s jacket. Three words in a language she never learned but somehow knew the meaning. No one ever knew where she was from. Only where she had just been.

She built the horizon

At dusk the streets turned violet.

Lanterns bloomed overhead.

Somewhere a rooftop filled with laughter.

Cinnamon drifted through the warm air, catching low at the back of my throat.

Somewhere else, music spilled through an open window. She disappeared into both.

By morning what remained was warmth in the stones, gold dust on your sleeves, and the peculiar certainty that your life had quietly divided itself into two parts.

All of our candles are made with a paraffin free coconut soy wax blend. We use cotton, lead free wicks and our fragrances are paraben/phthalate free.

We use custom blends of fragrance oils and essential oils and are PETA certified vegan/cruelty free.

This candle is 9 oz (255 grams) The dimensions are 3 x 3.25 in and is in a translucent black glass candle vessel. This jar is reusable as decor.
